Children’s Day: 6 must-see tours in São Paulo without having to get out of the car!

Children’s Day is usually a long-awaited date for the little ones. It’s time to plan outings, play with friends and have great family moments! Unfortunately, the pandemic of the new coronavirus has given a great shake-up to our plans and meeting up with colleagues, participating in recreational activities or going to the cinema are no longer on the agenda for now.

But no discouragement! To warm up the schedule, several events are taking place to entertain the kids, without the family having to leave the comfort (and safety) of their car. You will be able to meet the characters of Turma da Mônica up close, see real giraffes on safari, dinosaurs or maybe even “visit” the space! Check only the must-see attractions we have separated:

1. Jurassic Safari

Safari? That’s what you read! In this attraction that is a full plate for dinosaur fans, the whole family will be able to meet the Jurassic beings without getting out of the car, as if they were on a real expedition!

The unprecedented tour takes place at Burle Marx Park and the adventure begins as soon as visitors enter the place, where they cross a trail surrounded by native vegetation. Then they are received by actors who act as scientists in a theatrical presentation where they recount how they recreated giant animals from fossils from different periods.

Finally, the children will be able to accompany (with great enthusiasm) the more than 50 robotic reptiles that circulate between the vehicles. Oh, and to make the activity even more interesting and educational, the experience has the supervision of a paleontologist, who presents scientific and didactic information about each species.

When? Thursday and Friday, at 6:30 pm and 8:00 pm; Saturdays and Sundays at 11:30 am, 2:30 pm, 5:30 pm and 7:00 pm

Where? Burle Marx Park – Av. Dona Helena Pereira de Moraes, 200 – Vila Andrade

Price: Between R $ 140 and R $ 200 per vehicle (up to 4 people)

2. “ViaNova and Space Travelers”

In an old factory, Dumont kept all his research and experiments under lock and key that would allow humanity to travel through outer space. The luck is that his faithful squires, Santos and Albert, manage to open the gates of the industries to reveal all the secrets to the public!

The fictional plot of this immersive show is part of the new attraction that takes over the Ginásio do Ibirapuera. From inside the car, the little ones will pass through a multimedia circuit composed of six stations that mix visual effects with a lot of knowledge and fun!

After 30 minutes getting to know the beauties of the solar system and galaxies, families who want can take pictures and visit the store or the food park of the event.

When? From Tuesday to Thursday, from 10 am to 8 pm; Friday to Sunday, from 9am to 9pm

Where? Ibirapuera Gymnasium Complex – Av. Mal. Estênio Albuquerque Lima, 251 (gate 12)

Price: R $ 220.00 per vehicle (up to 4 people)

3. Zoo Safari

Zoo Safari is already a well-known tour in the city of São Paulo, but it took some time in its activities due to the pandemic. Recently reopened, the attraction continues to happen from inside the car, where families can get to know the more than 160 species that inhabit the place (among giraffes, monkeys, birds, etc.).

But to provide security for visitors against Covid-19, some new rules have been created: now the capacity of vehicles passing through the park has been reduced by 50%, the use of masks is mandatory, in addition to measures such as temperature measurement at the entrance. Oh, and don’t feed the animals for now! Remembering that the ride can be done in the same family vehicle, since the Zoo vans are suspended.

When? From Monday to Friday, from 10 am to 4 pm; Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, from 10 am to 4 pm

Where? Avenida do Cursino, 6338 – Vila Moraes

Price: Between R $ 20.00 and R $ 45.00 per person (free for children up to 3 years old and for people with disabilities). More information about the values on the website.

4. Monica’s Gang Show

Turma da Mônica is loved by the little ones in all formats: comic book, film, park and… why not, musical? The show that was already happening with all the children in the audience remains very fun, only now in its drive-in edition.

The attraction is organized by parts. First, three fun adventures of the characters are presented on the big screen with CineGibi. In the sequence, Mônica, Cebolinha, Magali, Cascão and Chico Bento make dynamic and interactive performances and perform some of the popular songs of the crowd. The little over 30 minutes of the show guarantees a lot of singing and important messages about friendship!

When? 10 am to 6 pm

Where? Arena Vibez – Av. Presidente Castelo Branco, 7683 – Bairro da Pompéia

Price: Between R $ 150 and R $ 200 per vehicle (up to 4 people)

5. Children’s play “DPA – The Play – A Ministry in the Theater ”

After 13 seasons shown on the small screens, the hit series “Detectives do Prédio Azul” was transported to the universe of children’s plays. The show had sold out tickets across the country on its launch tour in 2019 and now tests the drive-in format to keep getting laughter out of the kids!

With the cast all together, little detectives Bento, Sol and Pippo receive a special invitation to perform at MúsicaWood, the largest music festival in the city. The problem is that Dona Leocádia, the Manager of the Blue Building, does not like the idea and decides to ban the trio’s rehearsals. Will they be able to show what they are capable of with some help from the residents (and the audience)?

When? October 11 and 12 at 14h e 17h30

Where? Allianz Parque – Rua Padre Antonio Tomás, 72 (gate C2) – Água Branca

Price: Between R $ 175.00 and R $ 550.00 per vehicle (up to 4 people)

6. Cinema drive-in

Drive-in cinemas were the first attractions to resurface during the pandemic. Rescuing a format that was once fashionable, families park their cars in the designated places and watch the movies inside it – they can also consume popcorn and other foods sold on the spot (or brought from home) and thus get even more into the cinema atmosphere !
